The adults asked the children where we should cross the road safely, where we should stop and what we use to see and hear vehicles that are travelling along the road.
The staff let the children watch the ‘Stop, Look, Listen Hedgehog Road Safety video’.
The children had the opportunity to be a lollipop person, telling the cars to ‘stop’ and ‘go’. The children were then able to walk across the zebra crossing safely.
The children were able to say that the red light is stop, orange means get ready to go and green is go on traffic lights. One child said, when i go to the zebra crossing with nanny, I stop and wait until its safe to cross.
