Play Spaces

Baby room

Our unique Baby room operates from four separate areas to stimulate and engage the children senses and development at the start of their Play Out experience. The children have a large main room to explore along with a separate messy playroom for sensory exploration, a physical playroom supporting key motor skills such as walking, crawling and navigation and a cosy sleep area. The baby room also benefits from its own fully enclosed and child focused outdoor area to support our strong belief in using Nature to Nurture.

Garden

Our large secure outdoor space provides a whole host of learning opportunities for children. With the hills and established trees, our team has made these into features such as encouraging the children to climb trees and use the tree swings. During the summer, the large hill-embedded slide becomes a much-enjoyed feature of the garden, often becoming a water slide. Children have the opportunity to help build bonfires, toast marshmallows, saw wood and grow vegetables, taking ownership over the gardens, making plans for its development.

Nutrition

Meals are hosted in our communal dining room, providing children with the opportunity to watch the chef working with fresh ingredients when preparing meals. Our team sit with children to enjoy meals and to promote conversation. The children also use this space on a weekly basis during our cooking club or the ‘Great Play Out Bake Off’, making their own tasty snacks and teas.

Our seasonal rotated menus receive input from the children, ensuing that they are offered not only tasty and nutritious meals, but firm favourites and new options are offered.

Our Team

Hannah

Hannah Parsons - Play Out childcare Ipswich

My name is Hannah Parsons and I am the Nursery Manager at Play Out Ipswich. I have worked at Play Out for 5 years and within Early Years for 10 years. I started out as a Nursery Practitioner and then progressed up the nursery to become Manager 2 years ago. I hold an CACHE level 3 Diploma in Child Care and Education.

I am passionate about supporting children to experience activities they may not have the opportunity to do so at home. I lead a creative team who push boundaries with children to try new experiences, learning about risk, safety, building resilience and independence. My team loves to build, and design opened activities for the children to explore in our fantastic garden and nursery.

I believe that nursery should be a place where children, their parents and my team feel safe so they can take risks, ask questions, make mistakes, learn to trust, and become lifelong learners.

Nic Warden - Play Out childcare Ipswich

My name is Nicola Warden and I am the Deputy Manager at Play Out Ipswich. I have worked at Play Out Ipswich for 4 years, starting as a Practitioner and working my way up to Deputy Manager. I hold a CACHE level 3 in childcare and education

I enjoy getting messy with the children and making a big mess! I am also the nursery SENCO and work with the other practitioners to support any children who may have any additional needs. I find it very rewarding when these children who have SEN needs make improvements.

Our Offer

The nursery provides a flexible booking option for families, enabling our services to meet your needs. We offer an all-inclusive package to our families, providing nappies and wipes included in our fee schedule. Our nurseries offer the 30 hours funded sessions for children the term following their third birthday.
